Radyr Comprehensive School aims to improve the knowledge and awareness of learning opportunities and the labour market and help our young people improve self-awareness, raise individual aspirations and support them to make effective decisions about their careers.

We do this through a programme of activities which helps students to choose the 14-19 pathways best suited to their individual aspirations and by developing the skills which will enable them to manage their lifelong career.

Where To Find The Careers Advisor

Danielle Baker is the Careers Wales Careers Adviser attached to Radyr Comprehensive School.

During work experience search in year 10 and year 12, some pupils will require a careers guidance one to one or group interview, while others may only need a shorter ‘diagnostic’ interview. You might feel that you need support with any of the following:

  • Choose and pursue a career idea
  • Find a part-time job
  • Find an apprenticeship
  • Make university choices
  • Prepare a CV
  • Find a work experience placement (Years 10 and 12)
  • Sort your gap year

For further support, please contact Ms Baker via her email below or drop in to her office which is in the OASIS.
